Logan - Bambara Road danger.
Not far from our place there is a corner on a major road, due to road sign placement drivers turning off this road can have their view almost totally blocked. I have brought this to the attention of the responsible authority but have received no communication to what, if any, action will be taken.
This was initially reported in September 2016. I have a short You Tube video of this issue, after you have viewed the video click your browser 'back' button to return here....
My Fly Exclusion Zone Device
Tired of having flies annoying us when in the outdoors I made my own device to 'deter' them, works a treat.
Authors note; there is a commercial model on the market which, strangely, is very similar to mine...my design is much older than that one.
The PS Melbourne is one of the last remaining steam powered paddle steamers still operating on the Murray River.......videos taken onboard near Echuca, South Australia. 2013
Brayden's John Deere Buggy
This is Brayden on his buggy his Nanny and Pa got him for Christmas 2011. His father had a very similar version when he was growing up..this video brings back old time for Brayden's grand parents.
Note, Brayden's model, unlike his fathers of many Christmases ago, has an annoying voice feature....fortunately the noise doesnít travel all the way to Queensland!..lol.
It is on this page where we will place links to our videos.....to enable easy viewing all our videos are edited and uploaded to You Tube.
Glenriddle remains to beone of our most favourite campgrounds....it is situated some 18 km from Bingara on the Fossickers Way in NSW.
PS...on our return visit in September 2016, about a year or so after the video was taken, the river here was running quite quickly.

Response email dated Fri 13/01/2017 10:33 AM.
Dear Mr Greig
Thank you for your email to the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) following up an enquiry made by Cr Lisa Bradley on 16 September 2016, regarding signage placement on the median near the corner of Bambara Street and Logan Road, Underwood.
On 16 October 2016, the department responded to the enquiry received from Cr Bradley regarding this matter.
Cr Bradley was advised that a departmental officer had inspected the site and found that while the keep left/ no u turn sign may appear to obstruct a motoristís view of oncoming traffic, when a vehicle is at the holding point of the turning lane waiting to make a right-turn manoeuvre there is adequate sight distance for motorists.
As per this advice, given the signage complies with departmental standards regarding sight distance, no adjustments will be made to the sign at this time. However, TMR will continue to monitor this site.
I trust this information is of assistance to you.
